On Being a Dentist
I find being a dentist to be professionally and personally fulfilling. My days are spent delivering care that improves the lives of people in our community, allowing them to be healthier and happier. Whether I’m providing reconstructive work that restores function, relieving a patient of pain, or creating healthier looking teeth for a more attractive smile, my patients’ are better off at the end of their visits.
It’s a pleasure to provide painless, personal care to a diverse group of people. Each person presents a unique set of oral health needs, and I work with them to find the dental treatments appropriate for their situation. Together, we form a partnership, working together toward the goal of a healthy mouth and smile. Along the way, we develop a rapport and often become friends. I am honored by those friendships.
Education and Commitment to Continuing Education
My Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) was awarded by Meharry College. That education provided me with an excellent foundational knowledge, but dentistry is a constantly changing field. In order to stay up-to-date with advancements in technology, changes in treatment methodologies, and new dental materials, I must pursue continuing education opportunities.
I am an active member of Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. These organizations provide me with access to the latest research findings, as well as meetings, lectures, and distance learning courses.
By staying at the leading-edge of oral healthcare advancements, I’m able to ensure my patients receive the highest quality of care possible. They trust me to provide the best for them, and I’m committed to doing so.
I’m originally from New Britain, CT, but Mt. Juliet, TN has been home to our family since 2002. My wife’s name is Natalie and we’ve four children: Alex, Cassi, Tanner, and Ian, as well as a family pet, Elvis.
Being with my loved ones is always my priority when I’m not caring for my patients. That being said, I also enjoy being outside and keeping active, whether I’m on the golf links, fishing, or just exercising.
